Dermalogica Ion Active review

Since I have shifted to middle east my skin has changed a lot. Due to the weather condition here, the skin gets damaged as we move from an air-conditioned space into direct sunlight. It has quite a harsh impact on our skin. So I recently tried the new IonActive Power Treatment that combines thermal activity and the latest treatment-room technology to optimize product penetration for dramatically-improved skin. It was simply amazing. Prior to treatment, my skin was dehydrated on the forehead and I had pigmentation on both my cheek bones. Believe it or not the treatment worked like a charm on my skin. I could see a major difference in just 45 minutes as my skin felt light with a more balanced tone. Unbelievably it was glowing and spotless. This treatment has 4 different type of products depending on your skin.

• Retinol to firm and reduce visible signs of skin aging.
• Niacinamide to control and prevent adult acne breakouts.
• Hyaluronic Acid to relieve dehydrated and/or sensitized skin.
• Oligopeptide to brighten hyperpigmentation for a more balanced skin tone.

It starts with face mapping and with that you have an idea about your exact skin condition. A few minutes of facial cleansing is followed by exfoliation. After that the ION Active product is applied, based on skin type, by roller machine massage for 5 minutes to help with better absorption of the product.  Then a Gelloid cold or hot mask, based on skin type, is applied and left on for 5 minutes. This is followed be an LED light session for 10 minutes. They use different LED light colours based on the treatment we have chosen. For my pigmentation they used green. After 10 minutes she cleaned my face and applied toner and moisturiser. I noticed that my pigmentation marks had reduced by 70% on the right side of my cheek bone and the marks had completely disappeared on the left cheek bone. The therapist also gave me a complimentary skin care regime which contains a sun block, moisturizer, special cleanser and toner. The total cost for one sitting is AED 550 whereas every Monday carries a special discount of 25% for women.
